The Big Brothers of Rhode Island, a United Way agency, is in its 5th decade of service to the fatherless boys in the State of Rhode Island. The purpose of Big Brothers is to offer a fatherless boy the opportunity to further his growth and development through a friendship with a man whom he can emulate.

We cover the entire State of Rhode Island and our Little Brothers range in age from 7 to 14 years. Little Brothers are matched according to compatible interests and personality. We provide the following group activities for our Little Brothers: Christmas Party, Bowling Party, and Fishing Derby.

Please be advised this questionnaire is not an application; its purpose is to determine whether or not your son qualifies for our program. You will be notified to this effect shortly after the questionnaire has been received by our office. You will also be notified at that time of the next step in placing your son on our waiting list.

As you know, Big Brothers are all volunteers from within our state and we are always in need of them.

We presently have a very large waiting list of youngsters from every city and town in the State of Rhode Island. Although this waiting list is rather large at this time, it is very important that this first step be taken so that your son can be considered for a Little Brother as soon as possible.
